Conclusion
So to conclude this whole blog, America should really begin to try different methods to benefit our country!
Marlboro Greens
Because people discuss legalizing weed so much, the Marlboro Ciggarette company is even designing a ciggarette to smoke without the tobacco but to be replaced by weed instead.
The Netherlands
The Netherlands does not incarcerate if caught with drugs, they send the person to rehab to help addicts. Weed is kind of legal there, and they have lower incarceration rates.
Health
weed is used with cancer patients to help ease pain vs. a narcotic pain pill such as hydrocodone which are addicting. Plus it also helps with seizures, migraines, and OCD.
Racial Discrimination
I was learning in my intro to criminal justice course that many police officicers discriminate against black or hispanic looking people especially in cases dealing with drugs especially in lower income areas. My professor stated however that high drug use occurs often in middle class areas often instead. Could weed being illegal be a cause towards racial discrimination??
Has weed ever killed anyone?
Alcohol, if abused, can cause violence, sickness, and even death. People make rash decisions such as driving under the influence which can and has resulted in the killing of themselves and other people. Weed has never killed anyone, it is impossible to overdose on. I was thinking about this earlier today, when people went out to bars and it was the norm to smoke rather than drink I wonder how many people's lives could have been saved..
Comments on Video
Just as stated in video millions of dollars would be made by taxing weed. Plus, prohibition has never worked as we have seen in the 20's with alcohol.
incarceration
America has the highest incarceration rate of all other countries. Jail's are over crowded and American tax payers pay for the inmates. A huge amount of American's have been arrested for simple possesion, which I believe to be absurd. These are not people doing any harm or causing any problems. Yet they serve jail time and have to pay huge fines. If weed were to be at least decriminalized then not only would incarceration rate go down, but people would not feel so threatened by the government. Of course this is my personal opinion.
History
Weed has been around since the 1600's! All settelers grew hemp, George Washington actually grew hemp for fiber and all settlers were required to grow hemp.. Funny how times have changed!
will legalizing pot make people lazy?
I have often thought about this myself. However, if you take into consideration the amount of people who use it right now, then the answer would be no. Millions of people use it today, College students employees and they get their objective done.

Commets on the video
The doctor discusses how marijuana is not as bad for you as alcohol or many legal prescription drugs. Also, he discusses the economic benefits, and the benefits of harming the Mexican drug cartel.
Mexican Cartels and the effects on them
The Mexican cartel recieves 60% of its revune from marijuana. Even though if America were to legalize marijuana other drugs would still be smuggled in, but it would hurt the drug cartel significantly. Therefore, violence would decrease. This will only happen if America actually begins to legalizize it and export it state to state.

Benefits of Cannabis
The legalization of Cannabis would bring a huge income to the country, and allow the country to grow stronger. Already in areas such as california, and colorado, there are head shops, and a multitude of jobs created due to the production of Cannabis, and the by products of it. Things such as hemp ice cream, and clothing are created, and this not only has a low impact on the earth, but is also a highly renewable resource that everyong can benefit from.
It will help create jobs in the clothing industry, help with the current resource scarcity, and help the economy grow back to the way it was in the golden days.
Mexico Drug Cartels
People generally state that legalizing marijauna would cause plenty of problems, regarding things such as with Mexican drug cartels, who make their money in the illegal sale of Cannabis. I believe if marijuana was leaglized that the problems generally associated with these cartels would slowly dissapear. Things such as killings, and kidnappings would slowly die off. Generally these crimes occur becuase of the legal problems dealing with marijuana, and by legalizing the plant, the Cartels would be able to stop with their crimes, and become legitimate businesses, and making them lots of money, which is all that matters to them regardless.

weed
Over a million people smoke weed in the United States. Being a college student I come into contact with this drug often. Many of my friends smoke it and at party's there's usually someone smoking. I sometimes think more people smoke weed than alcohol. When thinking about this, why hasn't this highly used drug been legalized yet? In future blogs to come I will continue to discuss this more.
